Cut Crease Eyeshadow Aftercare: First 24 Hours Aftercare & Fixes

A lot of my makeup clients come in for special events, and I hear the same thing afterward: they got lots of compliments. The fastest way to protect that sharp cut crease eyeshadow line is simple. Don't touch or rub your eyes and give your lid products a solid 30 to 60 minutes to fully set before you start adjusting hair, putting on sunglasses, or doing anything that pulls at the skin. The first 24 hours: keep the cut crease crisp, not creased

Avoid oily eye creams right on the lid while you're wearing the look. Oils break down the clean line first. If your under-eyes feel dry, keep moisturizer lower on the orbital bone and away from where liner and shadow sit.

Quick smudge fixes with micellar water (no full redo)

A gentle method that works

1. Soak a cotton pad and press it on the closed lid for 15 to 20 seconds.
2. Wipe downward and outward in one smooth motion.
3. Repeat with a fresh pad until it's clean.
4. Finish with a gentle cleanser, then a simple moisturizer away from the lash line.

If you wear contacts, remove them first so you're not tugging near the lash line while you're trying to see.
